Frequently Asked Questions
What is a GoData Subscription?
GoData is a recurring data subscription designed to keep you connected while traveling. Your subscription automatically renews whenever you use all of your included data or when your monthly billing cycle ends—whichever comes first.
This ensures you always have access to data without needing to manually purchase a new plan.
How does my subscription renew?
Your subscription renews automatically in either of the following situations:
- You use all of your included data before your renewal date.
- Your monthly billing cycle ends before you've used all of your included data.
Whichever happens first will begin your next subscription cycle.
A valid payment method and Auto Renew must be enabled for automatic renewal to occur.
Will I lose my remaining data when my subscription renews?
It depends on your GoData Subscription.
Some GoData Subscriptions include Data Rollover, which allows any unused data from your current billing cycle to carry over to future billing cycles instead of expiring immediately.
If your plan includes Data Rollover:
- Unused data can roll over for up to six (6) months.
- Your subscription must remain active with uninterrupted renewals during the entire rollover period.
- Auto Renew must remain enabled.
- Each renewal payment must be processed successfully.
- If your subscription is canceled, expires, or fails to renew, any accumulated rollover data may be forfeited.
Which plans include Data Rollover?
At this time, Data Rollover is available only on eligible Europe Local GoData and Asia Local GoData Subscription plans.
If your plan does not include Data Rollover:
Any unused data will expire when your subscription renews and a new billing cycle begins.
Note: Data Rollover is only available on eligible GoData Subscription plans. Check your plan details in the SIMO App or your SIMO account to confirm whether your subscription includes this feature.
Can I turn off automatic renewal?
Yes. You can disable Auto Renew at any time through the SIMO App or your SIMO account.
Once Auto Renew is turned off, your subscription will expire after your current billing cycle ends or after all of your remaining data has been used, whichever occurs first.
What happens if my payment fails?
If your payment cannot be processed, your subscription will not renew automatically.
To continue using your service, update your payment method and manually renew or purchase a new data plan.
If your plan includes Data Rollover, accumulated rollover data may be lost if your subscription expires because of a failed renewal.
Can I switch to a different GoData Subscription?
Yes. Depending on your account and the plans available for your device, you can change to another eligible GoData Subscription through your SIMO account.
Plan availability may vary by region and device.
Can I use my GoData Subscription in any country?
It depends on your subscription.
- Global GoData Subscription provides coverage in supported countries worldwide.
- USA Plus GoData Subscription provides coverage in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
- Europe Local GoData Subscription provides coverage only in supported European countries.
- Asia Local GoData Subscription provides coverage only in supported Asian countries.
Always verify your plan's coverage before traveling.
How can I check how much data I have left?
You can view your remaining data at any time.
- Open the SIMO App or sign in to your SIMO account.
- Select your connected Solis device.
- Open My Data or Data Usage.
- Your remaining balance, usage, and renewal information will be displayed.
What happens if I use all of my data?
If Auto Renew is enabled and your payment method is valid, your subscription will automatically renew and a new monthly data allowance will be added.
If Auto Renew is disabled, you'll need to purchase a new data plan or manually renew your subscription before you can continue using data.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can stop future renewals by disabling Auto Renew.
Your subscription will remain active until either:
- Your current billing cycle ends, or
- All of your included data has been used,
whichever occurs first.
Can I use my GoData Subscription on multiple devices?
No. Although your GoData Subscription is associated with your SIMO account, it is assigned to a single Solis device when purchased or activated.
Once a subscription has been assigned:
- It cannot be transferred to another Solis device.
- It can only be used on the device to which it was originally assigned.
If you own multiple Solis devices, each device requires its own eligible data plan or subscription.
Tip: Before purchasing a GoData Subscription, verify that you have selected the correct Solis device in the SIMO App or your SIMO account, as subscriptions cannot be transferred after activation.
Where can I manage my GoData Subscription?
You can manage your subscription through the SIMO App or your SIMO account, where you can:
- View your remaining data balance.
- Manage Auto Renew.
- Update your payment method.
- Purchase additional data.
- View your subscription details and billing information.
