How to Install an ON eSIM

Installing your ON eSIM only takes a few minutes. The setup process varies slightly depending on your operating system and device model, but it generally follows similar steps. 

Before You Begin

Before installing your eSIM, make sure that:

• Your device supports eSIM technology.
• Your device is carrier-unlocked (if required by your mobile carrier).
• Your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or internet connection.

There are three ways to install an ON eSIM. 

• In-App Installation
• QR Code Installation
• Manual Installation

In-App Installation

The easiest way to install an ON eSIM is from the ON app. Go to My eSIM and click the Install eSIM on This Device button. Then follow the on-screen prompts to finish the installation. 

QR Code Installation

If you have trouble installing the eSIM through the ON app, you can install the eSIM by scanning its QR code. To find the QR code, go to My eSIM and click Install on Another Device (Show QR Code). Scan the QR code using the camera app on the device where you want to install the eSIM. Then follow the prompts to finish the installation. 

Manual Installation

If you're unable to install your eSIM automatically through the ON app or by scanning a QR code, you can try installing it manually using the eSIM activation code. You can find the activation code and SM-DP+ Address below the QR code. 

For iPhone

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Service.
3. Tap Add eSIM.
4. Select Use QR Code.
5. Tap Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen.
6. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code provided in the ON app. 
7. Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

For Android

The steps may vary depending on your phone's manufacturer and Android version.

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Connections or Network & Internet.
3. Tap SIM manager or SIMs, then select Add eSIM or Add a SIM.
4. Choose the option to enter the activation details manually, if available.
5. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code provided in the ON app. 
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
